Continuous improvement is an ongoing effort to improve products, services or processes. These efforts can seek “incremental” improvement over time or “breakthrough” improvement all at once. Continuous improvement for production teams involves company based training, concentrating on the forming and development of teams, selecting projects and then mentoring the operators and facilitators to the completion of these projects. The course is suitable for management and team leaders through to operators and employees directly involved in the process.
Course Content
In general the course content and delivery is tailored to suit the company’s needs. The course content is a combination of delivered lecture material and actual project focused work. Participants will be introduced to continuous improvement practice using basic problem solving tools and apply them in a team environment on company targeted improvement areas.

Team members and Facilitators
- Quality Concepts and Basic Quality Tools and Problem Solving
- Small Team project management process
- Project focused work
Facilitators Only
- Mentoring and Facilitation techniques for facilitators
Having completed the course, candidates will be able to apply quality tools and to interpret information and data. In addition they should be able to apply team concepts both as a member and leader. The Facilitators should be able to understand their role in the process and experience being a facilitator on a
given project.
