Covering all knowledge areas of the ‘Project Management Body of Knowledge’ (PMBOK© - which is administered by the Project Management Institute (PMI) in the USA). The CIT Diploma in Project Management is an academically rigorous, engaging, challenging and rewarding learning journey.
There is a multifaceted learning experience through the detailed knowledge of lecturers, industry experts and impressive guest speakers. Also there is the added benefit from the diversity of people attending the Diploma, they have a wide range of expertise, background and experiences. Having such a diverse group of people creates a richer, more engaging and dynamic learning experience that benefits course attendees.
The Diploma has a number of detailed learning objectives for developing specific Project Management skills, techniques and knowledge. The major objectives are:
- To equip delegates with an advanced ‘toolbox’ of techniques, systems, strategies, tools and methods to setup, plan, manage and close out almost any project.
- To develop their people management skills, confidence and experience of using these new skills and techniques so as to become even more dynamic project managers, make decisions quickly, and in a way that includes the project team, sponsors and end users.
With the emergence of Project Management as a standalone profession, international accreditation that is accepted across industries is becoming increasingly important. This course also prepares delegates for the Project Management Institute (PMI) exams for certification as a ‘Project Management Professional’ (PMP®) or a ‘Certified Associate in Project Management’ (CAPM®)
Module 3 of the Diploma can be taken as a standalone module, it may be suited to:
