On Wednesday February 7th we welcomed 48 new students to CAMMS to begin night courses in the areas of Biomedical Device Manufacturing, Robotics and Scada. Course participants came from a vast number of organisations including: Glaxosmithkline, Pfizer, Biomarin, Cork County Council, Alcon, Pilz Ireland, Dell, HSE, Boston Scientific, Wright Medical and Dunnes Stores.

The Biomedical Device programme which is a 12 week course was developed for anyone seeking employment in or transferring into the Bisomedical Devices Sector as well as anyone wishing to enhance their general knowledge of the industry. The progamme is structured around common medical disorders which are treated by biomedical devices manufactured in Ireland. The course is being delivered by Dr. Andreea Factor from the Department of Anatomy and Neuroscience at UCC.
